Laung (Cloves)

Laung, also known as cloves, are aromatic flower buds derived from the clove tree. In Indian cooking, they are used whole or ground to add flavor and fragrance to savory dishes, rice, curries, and spice blends. Laung is also used in Ayurvedic medicine for its medicinal properties, such as aiding digestion and providing relief from toothaches.
